Problem
A firm asked their manager to set up backup and check for its successful execution on a regular basis. Over time the manager conducted this control randomly. A critical situation occurred when he was asked to recover data deleted by mistake, finding out that the backup was not carried out because of a program failure. 

Solution:
CM monitors the state of backup and archives it on the internet portal. In a backup record error or lack a notification is emailed to the manager. Unless that error is remedied by the specified time, CM sends an error message to the superior as well. CM also contains a tool to check for the proper storage of files (e.g. it finds out whether the user under corporate policy stores documents in reserved folders).

 

 

 

1. I am a manager managing 5 clients. You are writing that I will be connecting to your CM server, but I am not interested in viewing somebode else´s data and having somebody else share mine.

Customer Monitor is being currently offered only in the form ASP (Application Service Provider) and you get connected to the server at https://cm.seal.sk. On this server you will get your space to define your clients. You will not view nobody else´s data, nor another manager will view yours. You can authorize your clients to share data (customer account) who will only view their data and will not view other clients´ data.

The advantage of providing Customer Monitor through ASP is that you do not have to care about the server installation, operation, installation of correct packs, security, backup, database maintenance. We add more servers as the load grows, thereby securing the CM system speed.
We do not rule out sales of a separate Customer Monitor server license in the future

2. What is the data security level in Customer Monitor?

Security is multi-level and dealt with comprehensively:

  • Access to Customer Monitor at https://cm.seal.sk is via a registered SSL certificate.
  • Communications between the computer running C-Monitor and CM Server is double-ciphered. Firstly with a ciphering key assigned to each manager and secondly with RSA asymmetric ciphering.
  • C-Monitor modules receive no passwords from computers and it is precluded preventatively for anybody to get an unauthorized access from Customer Monitor data.
  • Customer Monitor servers are located at a monitoring webhosting center. The program code is ciphered.
  • Mutual confidence is of utmost importance to us and inside the firm also other measures are in place to secure whatever data on you and your clients.


3. What is financial policy for me, the manager, and for my clients?

SEAL IT Services, s.r.o., the provider of Customer Monitor, has a business relation with the manager, not his clients. This means that your clients will never get any invoice from the provider. The manager pays the provider a regular monthly fee for every CM-run computer. The provider does not interfere with the manager´s method of charging to the client.


4. What will I get in the regular fee per computer?

You get in the fee per computer the complete Customer Monitor offer:

  • Evaluation and view of CM data with the option to paramtrize limit values.
  • Email notification of evaluated CM data to CM technician and selected messages to superior technician (manager) and the client (customer contact).
  • Entry of problems in Customer Desk from the user through C-Monitor or the customer account
    Email notification to the technician, the chief technician (manager), the client (customer contact) of the state of handling service requests in Customer Desk 
  • Access to Customer Monitor and thereby also to Customer Desk for all parties involved with preset access rights
  • Use of all C-Monitor modules with the option to save the output (Technician holding a C-Monitor technical license can collect data also from CM non-registered computers, which is relevant to computer reinstallation cases)
  • Combining automatic and manually entered CM device registration, generation of any of the preselected output summaries.
